Home Efficiency Inspection
We can do a general inspection of your home on the following items: LIGHT BULBS - I will test all light bulbs to ensure they are working properly and record those that malfunction and their replacement information. EXTERIOR DOORS - I will inspect all outer door seals for leaking air, light or damage and record replacement style if needed. EXTERIOR WINDOWS - I will inspect all windows for proper operation and any broken inner seals and failing outer seals that may be allowing air to pass through and record any damage and replacement information. EXHAUST FANS - I will ensure all fans for cleanliness, spinning freely and working properly. CEILING FANS - I will check all fans for cleanliness, good working condition and a proper balance. VENTS - I will inspect exhaust fan louvers to see they are clear, sealed and working properly. TOILETS - I will inspect toilets for proper operation of fill and flush valves and to ensure water is not running beneath the flapper. FAUCETS - I will inspect all faucets for dripping and leaking and proper operation. I will inspect screens to ensure proper water flow. This includes interior and exterior. WATER FILTERS - I will inspect whole house and any other water system filters. SMOKE ALARMS - I will test every alarm for proper operation and battery life. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS - I will inspect every unit to see it is up to date and in the green. FURNACE FILTER - I will inspect furnace filters for cleanliness. CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR - I will inspect to see if present and in working condition. Some inspection items may not apply to you and that’s alright. Your home may not have smoke detectors or fire extinguishers or other things. This would be a great time for you to update your home with these missing items. This inspection cost $200 at the time of service and any needed repairs or new installations can be done upon a scheduled return visit with the proper tools, parts and quotation.
